Woodlawn Cemetery links the present to the past. When you visit, you immediately feel a connection to your ancestors and to our vibrant Allen County heritage. Our goal is to meticulously preserve Woodlawn Cemetery to honor your ancestors with the love and respect they deserve, and to give you a beautiful, tranquil place to visit and reflect. The need for continuous upkeep of our grounds is a daunting and expensive task, particularly as expenses have risen drastically recently.

We employ a full-time staff to maintain our 140 acres of rolling hills year-round with daily responsibilities of weeding, raking, watering, mowing, spraying, and trimming. Thanks to our generous donors, in the past year we have made significant costly improvements to our 100+ year old drainage system, office building, and winding pathways. Roads are newly paved in the northern section of Woodlawn Cemetery from the entrance to the mausoleums, and as we look ahead, we aim to continue these updates as well as replace our maintenance equipment that we rely on daily. Our primary machinery has worn down and in order to maintain our standard of care for this treasured part of our community, these updates are imperative. We cannot do this without your help.

As the family member or friend of an individual interred here, as someone who admires our beautiful grounds, or as someone intent on safeguarding Allen County’s irreplaceable historical resource, we ask that you consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Woodlawn Cemetery Association Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation. We also encourage you to talk to us about endowments and legacy funds. With your help, we can keep Woodlawn Cemetery the beautiful, historical and architectural treasure we know and love.

Please, either print, fill out and return this card with your gift, or make your contribution through the Lima Community Foundation/Woodlawn Cemetery Foundation safely and securely at LimaCommunityFoundation.org. Please note that your donation should be directed to Woodlawn Cemetery.

Thank you so much. Your generosity is appreciated.
